NEW POSITIONS: Summer 2008 
 
GLOBAL PRICING AND REIMBURSEMENT 
 
Leader, Global Pricing & Reimbursement 
 
If you are a senior executive with experience leading and developing Global Pricing & Reimbursement strategies for new products from Phase I through launch that optimize profitability and access, then this major NJ pharma company wants you on their team.  
 
You will be responsible for leading a company wide team who develops Franchise Global Access Strategy recommendations to senior management, including P&R approval process, value substantiation and payer/stakeholder strategies. Specific duties include: executes pricing and reimbursement related research for pre-launch/launch products, collaborates with local and regional stakeholders, coordinates inputs for global reimbursement with Global Outcomes Research, drives the final management approval process of the P&R Access Strategy recommendations. As the Leader of the Franchise Global Access Team, you will provide strategic access input to: R&D and global franchise during product development; in-licensing and business development opportunities; franchise strategy and lifecycle management team. You will have direct and matrix reports, with budget and annual plan responsibility.  
 
The successful candidate will have an MD, PhD, PharmD or MBA and 7-10 years of related experience in global pricing, reimbursement, market access, outcomes research, health technology assessment or managed markets. Outstanding leadership and negotiation skills required, plus thorough understanding of global payer needs, product development process, P&R policies in global reimbursement systems, value based pricing and experience building global P&R and negotiation dossiers.  
 
 
Leader, Product Pricing & Reimbursement 
 
If you are an executive with experience developing Global Pricing & Reimbursement strategies for new products from Phase I through launch, then this major NJ pharma company wants you on their team.  
 
The Leader will lead and implement P&R related research for access across stakeholders of payers, physicians and patients for pre-launch/launch products. Specific duties include: coordinates inputs for global reimbursement strategy with global Outcomes Research; ensures delivery of inputs to development plans (OR/global access documents, including payer portraits, payer value propositions, pricing strategy, etc.); drives final management approval process, evaluates licensing opportunities, manages a budget. You will also be responsible for product related market access issues for a product in late stage development (Ph.IIB/III) through launch. Leading a company wide access team, you will provide strategic access input to: R&D and global franchise during product development, optimize profitability and access by ensuring an integrated market access strategy, communicate with global franchise, R&D and markets on access issues. 
 
The successful candidate will have an MBA or PhD and 5-7 years of related experience in global pricing, reimbursement, market access, outcomes research, health technology assessment or managed markets. Strong leadership, strategic thinking and project management skills required, plus thorough understanding of global payer needs; P&R policies in global reimbursement systems; value based pricing and building global P&R and negotiation dossiers.  
 
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & NEW PRODUCT COMMERCIALIZATION 
 
Senior Manager - New Product Commercialization for Metabolics 
 
For a mid-sized NJ pharma, leads in the development of pre-launch/launch plans and strategic marketing plans for a pipeline product and other new products in the portfolio. Develops and implements product business plans and achieves P&L goals. Works with cross-functional US and global teams. Other responsibilities include: short and long term marketing plans, forecasting, pricing strategy, business analysis, pre-marketing tactics, manages budgets, clinical thought-leader relationships and all aspects of the marketing mix.  
 
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of pharmaceutical marketing and sales experience. Launch experience preferred.  
 
Manager, Business Development & New Product Commercialization 
 
Provides analytical support for all business development & new product commercialization initiatives through data collection and analysis, forecasting, competitive intelligence and financial assessment. Leads selected projects that deliver business cases for the business development & new product commercialization team.  
 
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 3-4 years experience in a variety of functions, including business development, market research, licensing, commercial development, marketing, strategy, finance and analytics. Strong commercial and financial skills plus marketing perspective to build business cases.  
 
Senior Director, New Product Commercialization & Licensing/Business Development 
 
This two prong position supervises a team of five and reports to the Vice President. The New Product Commercialization team provides market assessment of new product opportunities in Phase II & III and evaluates their fit with the current portfolio. The Business Development team conducts due diligence on business development opportunities, manages alliances and in collaboration with the global business development team, negotiates potential deals. 
 
The successful candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in both areas: commercializing new products/strategic marketing plus experience in licensing and business development. Product launch experience and management experience required. Excellent leadership skills, demonstrated experience in evaluating potential products, commercializing new products, conducting due diligence activities and managing alliances. Some negotiating skills preferred. Ability to contribute to the strategic development of the company and deliver results to senior management.  
 
MARKETING 
 
Director, Marketing 
 
If your marketing expertise is launching new products, then join this mid-sized pharmaceutical company to direct their launch team of a Phase III urology product!  
 
Supervises a staff of two and reports to the VP of Marketing. Directs and manages pre-launch planning activities and programs with internal and external teams. Executes marketing plans and goals, oversees the cost effective management of allocated resources, responds to inquiries from senior management, customers and regulatory agencies. Incumbent must possess strong influencing skills, strong leadership skills and effective communication abilities. 
 
The company seeks a Bachelor's degree and four plus years of marketing and sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with two years in a supervisory role. Product launch experience required. Position reports to the Vice President of Marketing.  
 
Associate Director, Marketing 
 
If your marketing expertise is in lifecycle management of an off patent product that still has market value cache, then join this pharmaceutical company! 
 
The incumbent will develop, implement and manage sales and marketing programs, marketing strategies and promotional materials, etc. Analyzes market research results and integrates information into marketing plans, promotional strategies and tactics. Assess competition and advises management on opportunities. Manages the development of product advertising materials and the sales training program. Develops sales forecasts and promotional budgets. Must have knowledge of GMP, FDA and other regulatory requirements.  
 
The company seeks a Bachelor's degree and four years of marketing and sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Position reports to the Director, Marketing.  
 
Associate Director/ Senior Product Manager - Diabetes Professional Marketing 
 
Be part of the launch excitement for a potential blockbuster! If your background includes experience in Professional Promotion, plus you have diabetes experience, then this company wants you on their launch team for a new diabetes product.  
 
Responsibilities include: Leads in designing pre-launch and launch plans, develops and implements professional promotional marketing strategies, develops product messages, conducts market research and incorporates key insights into brand plans, creates product forecasts and ensures that all programs are aligned with the company's global product positioning objectives. Collaborates with internal cross-functional teams and manages the professional marketing agencies. Builds effective relationships with KOLs and provides targeted messaging that create physician interest in the product. Reports to the Product Director.  
 
Associate Director/ Senior Product Manager - Diabetes Patient Marketing 
 
Be part of the launch excitement for a potential blockbuster! If your background includes experience in Channel and Patient Marketing, plus you have diabetes experience, then this company wants you on their launch team for a new diabetes product.  
 
Responsibilities include: Ensures the alignment of managed markets and trade initiatives to the marketing strategy and also leads the development and implementation of patient marketing strategies targeted at patients and HCPs to support the launch objectives. Drives alignment of managed markets professional and patient strategies, such as PAP, pull-through programs and payer message development. Leads the development of trade and supply programs, crafts marketing strategies and tactics targeted at pharmacies and other trade partners. Leads the development of patient promotional messages to achieve launch objectives and ensures ROI effectiveness. Collaborates with internal cross-functional teams and manages the external third party organization and the advertising agency. Reports to the Product Director.  
 
 
MANAGED CARE 
 
Director, Customer Channel Marketing - Managed Care 
 
Headquarters based position that manages the performance in for the Managed Care Customer Channel, including accountability for tracking and improving Channel share and profit performance, key account prioritization and development of marketing strategies, messages and tactics that will optimize business within that Channel – e.g. drive pull-through. Provides support and guidance to the field sales force and the account management team in the execution of these programs.  
 
In addition, the Director will develop plans and execute key programs that will drive long-term profitable relationships with key accounts and the managed market Channel overall. This position will be responsible for four key areas: Customer Channel Strategic Planning, Product Promotions, Product Investment and People Management.  
 
The successful candidate will have 10 years of marketing or product management experience, demonstrating a steady career progression with roles of increasing responsibility. Also, at least 5 years prior management/supervisory experience is also required. Knowledge of managed care, trade and government marketplace required, as are relationships with Managed Care, Trade, Government executives and KOLs.  
 
This is a Director position, but the company is seeking someone with the ability to be promoted to a Senior Director, Managed Markets & Health Outcomes position within six months to a year, with four directors reporting in, three customer channel segment directors, plus an outcomes research director. 
 
 
ANALYTICS 
 
Associate Director, Business Analysis 
 
If your analytical skills are top notch and include primary market research, sales forecasts, short and long range market forecasts and financial analysis of sales trends, then this pharmaceutical company wants you!  
 
This position will conduct various analyses that will enhance the commercial effectiveness and profitability of the company's products. Essential responsibilities include: conducts primary market research to define market behavior and drive marketing strategy, develops product sales forecasts and mathematical forecasting models, analyzes data and identifies areas of improvement and recommends solutions. Develops short term and long range market forecasts, conducts financial analyses of sales trends and potential new products. Monitors pharmaceutical industry sources for opportunities and business intelligence.  
 
The company seeks a Bachelor's degree and six to eight years of related experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Demonstrated knowledge of market research methodology and sales forecasting required. Position reports to the Director, Business Analytics.
