to helpful Sites on the Web
The following
list contains links of interest in various categories. There
is no particular order of importance for the list, and in
fact, the order is not relevant to the main purpose of this
page. The benefit of this page is to allow search engines
to effectively search and index sites that are included here.
It is not meant to drive users away from one site and to another.
Manually submitting to individual search engines may lead
to long wait times before a site is finally listed. By including
this list in the main directory of a web site, the search
engines will automatically index the sites that are here.
The link index is the key as it displays other shared link
pages with reciprocal links.
This page
also assists in certain situations where sites have been somehow
removed from one search engine or another. With no shared
links, a site that is removed would have to be manually resubmitted
to all the search engines. By including this list with others
of like nature on other web sites, the search engine spiders
will be able to automatically find the lost site, re-index
it, and return it to its place in the search results.
